Case Study: Detox Kitchen

We were approached by this new client and architect on recommendation. The project was to create a flagship health food deli/café and fitness studio within a new build multi-occupancy building in Mortimer Street, in the west end of London.

Detox Kitchen

Detox Kitchen is a company dedicated to taking the stress out of planning, shopping for, and cooking food. Instead it promotes simple, nutritious food packed full of flavour and taste. Its emphasis is on natural produce, health, vitality and quality. The designs had to match the distinct look and feel of the brand while still meeting the proposed rooms’ functional needs.

What did the project involve?

The specialist works included a polished concrete floor and bespoke steel staircase to the main ground floor area. The designs featured a bespoke servery and counter area incorporating birch ply cabinet work, custom stainless steel cupboards and benches. We installed contractor-designed air conditioning and ventilation systems together with specialist lighting throughout. Mechanical services included a goods lift and pumped waste facilities. By sourcing and installing specialist products such as Bianco Carrara marble tops and a Living Wall, we were able to celebrate the company’s natural, quality aesthetic throughout.

The project was a10-week programme that was handed over on schedule, opening in time for Christmas. This was our first Detox Kitchen and we look forward to working with them again.
